A family of five expressed their desire for a light-filled garden kitchen that would offer them a space to enjoy during the summer, counterbalancing their existing basement kitchen. Dictating the layout of the new kitchen, the shape of the new extension allows for the family to enjoy uninterrupted views across the landscaped garden. It was essential that the kitchen was sympathetic to the listed building and its oak beams, and it needed to complement the contemporary new build structure with black-framed sliding doors. The island worktop is in Lapitec porcelain for durability and the furniture fronts are in laminate for a clean, contemporary look. A professional cooking environment is created with Gaggenau ovens, Siemens integrated fridges and a Bora hob for excellent extraction.
