The client, while keen to maintain the integrity of the Victorian architecture of this classic Kensington townhouse, was looking for a functional, sociable kitchen and dining area to complement contemporary living.

The classic architecture of the room, with its high ceilings, big skirting boards and sash windows, remains uncompromised. White glass splashbacks and corian worktops create a very chic, modern feel to the area. The island houses the oven, hob, sink and storage and provides a sociable, easy-to-use working area.
